Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By downloading or using NyxPost you agree to these Terms. If you disagree with any part, please do not use the software.

2. The Donationware Model

Specifically:

• Trial keys are issued free of charge for a 3-day evaluation period.
• Activation keys are issued upon receipt of the minimum contribution for the chosen tier. Keys are sent manually by the developer, typically within 24 hours.
• Contributions made via Ko-fi, Buy Me a Coffee, or similar platforms are processed by those platforms. They are never sold and represent voluntary support toward ongoing development costs.

3. License Grant

Upon receiving an activation key, you are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use NyxPost on the number of machines associated with your activation tier:

• Trial — 1 machine, 3 days
• Monthly — 1 machine, active while contributions continue ($11/mo)
• Solo Yearly — 1 machine, 1 year ($59/yr)
• Solo Lifetime — 1 machine, permanent ($139)
• Crew Yearly — 3 machines, 1 year ($99/yr)
• Crew Lifetime — 3 machines, permanent ($179)

All contribution tiers include access to all future versions of NyxPost at no additional cost — no upgrade fees, ever.

4. Restrictions

You may not:

• Share, resell, or transfer your activation key to others
• Use your key to activate NyxPost on more machines than your tier permits
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
• Remove or alter proprietary notices in the software
• Use the software for any unlawful purpose

5. Your Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

• Any content you upload or download using NyxPost
• Compliance with your Usenet provider's terms of service
• Compliance with applicable laws in your jurisdiction
• Keeping your activation key secure and not sharing it

6. No Refunds

Because payments to the developer are voluntary gifts and not purchases of software, they are non-refundable. If you made a contribution and have not received an activation key within 48 hours, please contact support@nyxpost.com.

7. Support

Best-effort support is available via support@nyxpost.com. Responses are typically provided within 48 hours on working days and cover activation issues, technical problems, and general questions about the software.

8. Updates

All activation tiers include every future major version of NyxPost at no additional cost. There are no upgrade fees — ever. This applies to yearly and lifetime tiers alike for the duration of the licence.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

NyxPost is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The developer does not warrant that the software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of NyxPost. In no event shall total liability exceed the amount voluntarily contributed by you in the twelve months preceding the claim, or zero if no contribution was made.

11. Third-Party Software

NyxPost may integrate with third-party tools subject to their own licences:

• UnRAR — free for personal use, available from rarlab.com
• RAR compression — requires a separate licence from rarlab.com
• par2cmdline-turbo and other open-source dependencies — see Open Source Credits

12. Termination

The developer may revoke your activation if you violate these Terms. Upon revocation you must cease all use of the software and delete all copies.

13. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the software after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via the NyxPost website.
